Happy New Year!

As 2025 comes to a close, this quiet space between “what was” and “what’s next” invites reflection.

Not the harsh kind. The honest kind.

The kind that asks: What am I still carrying that no longer serves me?

Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting, denying, or dismissing what mattered.

It means loosening your grip on what weighs you down so your psyche is free to move on to what’s next.

Here are a few things many people are ready to release as the year ends:

  • Old resentments that still take up mental real estate
  • Regret over decisions that can’t be undone
  • Relationships that drain more than they nourish
  • Perfectionism that blocks progress
  • Negative self-talk that sounds familiar but isn’t true
  • Habits that once protected you but now limit you
  • The belief that it’s “too late” to change

You may recognize one or two, or maybe it’s something entirely your own.

Letting go is rarely dramatic (although it can be).

More often, it’s just a series of small choices.

A willingness from your soul that says, I don’t need to carry this into the next year.

And if you can do this for yourself, you’ll see that letting go creates space — a space can be filled with new intentions.

Before the new year begins, ask yourself one more question:
What positive thing can I put in its place?

  • If you let go of self-criticism, maybe you can replace it with curiosity.
  • If you release resentment, perhaps you practice forgiveness — not for others, but for your own peace.
  • If you drop overworking, you might choose rest without guilt.
  • If you stop saying yes automatically, you begin saying yes more deliberately.
  • If you let go of some fear, you replace it with a small act of courage.

Choose one thing.

Not a resolution. An intention.

Write it down. Say it out loud.

Begin slowly and gently.

Growth doesn’t require January 1st perfection. In fact, it may take all of January just to decide and begin.

Growth only asks for willingness.

As we flow into 2026, I wish you more clarity, willingness, and the courage to travel lighter.

A Blessing for the New Year

Here’s a blessing Paul suggested, taken from a book I got him for Christmas. The book is called Benedictus: A Book of Blessings, by John O’Donohue.

Come Home to Yourself

“May all that is unforgiven in you,
Be released.

May your fears yield
Their deepest tranquillities.
May all that is unlived in you,
Blossom into a future,
Graced with love.”

Happy New Year!

Love,
Maureen 🤍

P.S. If you are ready to let go of regrets and imagine and design a better future for yourself, you may be ready for A Life Review Journey.

A Life Review Journey is a six-week, one-on-one coaching experience designed to help individuals reflect on their life with honesty and compassion, release unresolved regrets and resentments, and step forward into the next chapter of life with clarity, peace, and purpose.

Through a structured yet deeply human process, you’ll be guided through six core reflective themes using a beautifully designed guidebook, written exercises, and supportive coaching conversations.

This is not therapy — it is intentional life review, meaning-making, and forward planning.

Clients meet privately with me for six 30-minute Zoom sessions over two months, allowing time between sessions for reflection, writing, and emotional integration.

The result is greater self-awareness, emotional freedom, renewed confidence, and a grounded vision for what comes next.

This program is ideal for people in transition — midlife, retirement, recovery, career shifts, or simply those who feel called to pause, take stock, and live more intentionally.

Feel free to get on my calendar to discuss if this might be right for you. 💜
