Recovery at Work Testimonials
A client in their 30s
I felt sad, lost, confused and just stuck when I first started. I knew I needed help and I have tried therapy before but nothing felt "right" like this. The modules you presented were important and the worksheets and homework that you had me do really stuck and made me think about things and redirected me. I found hope and confidence because of you.
Brandi Bona
Thank You Maureen, For everything you have taught me, for everything you have shared and for always being patient and going more deeply into explanations that I may not have picked up on right away. Your course truly opened my eyes to WHY I am who I am, and it helped me realize that I need to start believing in myself, and that I don't HAVE to do anything for anybody else that doesn't truly make ME happy.
Carmela Galati, Sr Project Manager
My advice to someone who is trying to decide if they should take the course: Take the time to invest in yourself. The course is well thought out and takes you step by step to examine your beliefs, why you have limiting beliefs and how to change them to positively improve your thought and decision-making processes.
Christina Carmona, Director
I was at an impasse in my life. I was unhappy and unsure if it was related to my personal life, work life or both. Through Maureen's coaching, I opened myself up to new beliefs, I relaxed and let things happen. Happen they did! I'm now working at a new company I love, where I get to serve the business and develop my staff too. All my needs are being met and I'm much happier. So much changed in the 6 months I worked with Maureen and I'm grateful.

Maureen was such a big help to me. She helped me find my way when i was in as strange rut. Not only did she have endless insight about career paths and interview strategy, she also provided wisdom and guidance from a life perspective, beyond just jobs and career. She helped me find my way and gave me the confidence to pursue it. Maureen is an absolutely amazing coach!
Catherine Carroon, Senior Operations Coordinator
My advice is to take this course [Recovery@Work], even if you think you have the willpower to overcome hard times, take it. You will surprise yourself with what a little soul searching can do to improve your quality of life - in and out of work.

Recovery@Work helped me dig deep inside and really explore some of my pain bodies and learn. Learn about me, learn about my gifts and how can I manifest them to bigger greatness, and get back on that journey of being truly happy again. That's what it's done."

When I met Maureen, I knew I wanted to work with her. Maureen understood exactly where I was in my journey and met me where I was, guiding me through the process with empathy and understanding. I wasn't just a client - I was a person, and I truly felt like I mattered to Maureen. She genuinely cared about my outcome and used her experience to guide me effectively. Working with her has been a transformative experience.
Karen L., VP,
I was confused and feeling trapped at work, having a lot of conflicting thoughts and emotions about making a change. During the course of my sessions with Maureen, I had some major personal upheavals in my life unrelated to work. Maureen pivoted with me and helped me through that while keeping a gentle focus on the bigger end goal. Looking back, it was quite therapeutic all around. I know that I can (and will!) contact her again if I need guidance.
Laura Della Jacono
I have worked with Maureen for the last year and a half and my life has been transformed as a result.
She guided me though changing my outlook and performance at work which lead to a raise and a bonus plus a more productive relationship with my colleagues. She has guided me through personal introspective work which has changed how I deal with daily life issues and problems. Maureen has lead me on a transformative journey resulting in a more peaceful and joyous life with tools to deal with struggles and conflicts. Working with Maureen is the best personal and professional investment I have ever made!

"I sat down with a friend of mine last weekend and she said "Your transformation is absolutely phenomenal. I wouldn't even know it was you." And a lot of it - the majority of it, besides my recovery, is this course.

At the beginning of this course, I felt like my thoughts and feelings were all over the place, and I was stuck. I struggled to focus and lacked direction. However, as a result of going through this program, I now have greater clarity on what I truly want and better control over my energy. This course has empowered me to aligh my actions with my goals, and I feel more confident in moving forward with purpose.

I highly recommend Maureen. She has been my executive coach for more than 2 years now. She has enabled me to get out of my own way. I historically limited my life due to my fears or history. Maureen has enabled me to see the possibilities and thrive, yet still stay true to myself. Something I never would have thought possible. I am grateful to have found Maureen and to have her in my life.
Rhonda Ranney
I highly recommend Emerge Leadership Academy. Maureen is amazing and works with her clients to create a unique path for their personal and professional development. I'm forever grateful for her mentorship.

At the beginning of the Recovery@Work course, I was struggling with whether or not I should change the direction of my career at age 58. This course work brought me to the understanding that I could live a more authentic life if I sought a position that was in alignment with my core values. This course enabled me to have the courage and confidence to make a major career shift.

Receiving coaching is making an investment in yourself. Maureen is empathetic and diligent and not afraid to tell you how it is.
I loved the 'beliefs' module about discovering my past and how it affected my viewpoints.
Having her available for feedback was critically important to me. It is what differentiates therapy from life coaching.
Maureen helped me develop as a person rather than examine my circumstances.

I would absolutely recommend this program and would do the process again myself. I just turned 59 so I am at a vulnerable stage of looking back and looking forward with a very limited amount of time left. I am feeling my mortality, much more so than I ever have in my life. What a wonderful use of time, to dedicate to reflecting on where I am and where I might want to go. This process has calmed my fears of what may or may not come in my remaining days.
Brenda M.(57)
My favorite part was the group discussions. I really enjoyed listening to what everyone had to say and identifying with something that was said. I can't imagine not doing this in a group discussion like we did. Maureen's responses to not only my feedback but also to others resonated with me. We got to listen to her expert advice in a group setting which was very helpful.
Diane Z. (63)
I would definitely recommend this program to others because it gives you insight into things you wouldn't normally think about that could be holding you back from possibly reaching a higher potential, and/or simply being a happier person.
We all deserve happiness.

I would highly recommend this program to everyone! How often do we pause to review how far we've come in life? The Modules are concise and easy to follow. Maureen's personal coaching is compassionate with gentle nudges that help you go deeper. Taking inventory of where you are on your life path is immeasurable.
Penny Cagan. (65)
It's easy to forget our life goals, dreams and aspirations when you're rushing from one task to the next while working full-time or even retired which I recently had done. Taking Maureen's program was a great way to focus in on what is left in my life to do what I had not yet done. I had travel on my bucket list and I just got back from a dream vacation in Europe.
I went alone and I have no regrets! This program helped me zoom in and plan and do what's next. Thank you Maureen!

Maureen's program is a profound journey for people who are in transition of any kind.
She is an experienced and compassionate guide and I would highly recommend the program.

There were many insights along the way, especially because the process aligned with the work I am currently doing in therapy for a PTSD diagnosis. This [Life Review] process provided even deeper personal reflection and I made progress in my healing journey for trauma and mental health challenges.
Maureen's insight and intuitive understanding of others, along with her empathy and vulnerability, created an experience of shared understanding.

I was an only child and my mother was a narcissist. We had a tumultuous relationship.
I've worked on it for years in therapy but the issues have held on in my head. But when I went through your forgiveness meditation I was able to kiss my mother away. I felt love and happiness for her and I forgave her. I told her that as hard as my life was, she gave me a gift by being who she was so I could work on myself and become who I am in my lifetime.
I let her go and I feel more freedom than ever.
I am so grateful that this happened!
Laura D. (59)
I learned what I had suspected for a long time; that I spend a lot of time in regrets, and thinking about the past, and that can be a waste. I would often sit in it instead of looking at it as a learning experience. I now have a better sense of how to use my time, which is to spend it improving myself today so that I am in the best position to accomplish and experience those things on my bucket list. With Maureen as my coach, I do believe it was life-changing for me and extremely beneficial.
Susan M.(75)
The Life Review Journey program is simple by design, yet very rich in takeaways. I really appreciated having a guided process, a group cohort to share the experience with, and Maureen's compassionate coaching all along the way. I sat with questions that I might not have thought about, and through the list-making process, big-picture realizations began to emerge. I was able to release stuck resentments from the past, and I now have better clarity and a sense of lightness as I look forward in my life!
Toni K. (59)
The biggest insight I had during the program was that the energy of Regrets and Resentments was heavier than I realized. I was still carrying those things, if even lightly, and I didn't realize how much of an impact it all had on my state of being.
Also being able to hear myself speak out loud in answer to the group coaching prompts was valuable. And I loved being able to share insights that came to me from listening to others. Keep doing what you're doing!
Laura D. (59)
I highly recommend this program. It is an introspective, life changing exercise. Maureen's expert guidance was critical to change my [old way] of thinking and now I'm looking forward to my future!

The most valuable part of the process for me was the weekly calls. I really enjoyed our group. It was interesting to hear everyone's personal journey. I especially liked the similarities we shared. Our group seemed to gel from the first session. We were comfortable sharing and holding space for each other week to week.
Toni K. (59)
This process is so helpful. Thank you for creating it and offering it out into the world at just the right time. I had a long list of resentments, and I was able to let most of them go. The ones that were hard to let go of on my own, I was able to release them all while I did your forgiveness meditation. I plan to use it as a continuous tool as I need to release other resentments that crop up. It is so powerful. It's been life-changing.

Working with Maureen and having her lead me through this program has been truly enlightening. I was in a rut and didn't know why. I was trying to work through things myself and getting nowhere fast. Maureen led me through the beliefs exercise, affirmations and forgiveness and I learned so much about myself and what I wanted. I am now in a really good place, pursuing my true happiness in my next endeavor.

“If you are ready to take action on that change you KNOW you should be making, I highly recommend this book. Maureen has the gift of blending storytelling with motivation so that you’re taking action from a place of inspiration rather than pushing. If you are sick of being stuck, this is for you!”

I have known Maureen for many years and until I read the book, I had no idea that the Maureen I know is a product of learning through many difficult life events that would have caused the average person to curl up in a corner and surrender. The Maureen of today projects confidence, calmness and control. I have often asked myself why she handles life with the solidity she does? That is because Maureen has lived a life of experience that many of us never will. She had succeeded in passing through the testing fires of life and spiritual discovery that has enabled her to recover, rebuild and succeed in her very successful life! This book is a must read! Maureen has the gift to give and assist others and her book gives us the gifts of taking control, discovering who we are and where we want to go. Then Maureen tells us what we need to do and the tools to succeed. Enjoy the book and your new adventures in life!

Soul searching is the first thing that comes to mind as I am reading "Emerge". Does your personal story define you? Interesting question! Taking the time to examine your life and how you have gone from point A to point B can be a very complex and emotional journey. The story "your life" does not define you, it inspires you to learn and grow into the strong confident person you can become if you choose to do the work. Working on yourself to see what makes you tick and how you can embrace your triggers will give you a deeper view of how your past has guided you to this very point. Following the steps in this book can be a great learning tool that can guide you towards healing, self-discovery and new beginnings. I encourage people to take the time and do the work necessary, so you can emerge and reach new heights, driven by a stronger inner soul waiting to shine bright. Embrace the journey because you never know what life will put in your path.

This is a great book that raises your awareness of your belief system. It is eye opening to think how we don’t have to let our past experiences dictate our future. It is never too late to change. With this book and the exercises that accompany it, we can assess our thought patterns and move past them to create a better life. It was very helpful to hear about Maureen’s experiences and how she was able to use these techniques to get where she wanted to go in her life. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to make changes in their life, for the better!
