Do You Believe in Fairies?

Last Friday night our granddaughter Adalie, (5), came for a sleepover.

In our backyard, a circle of purple flowers had popped up and we began discussing fairy rings. She did a few twirls in the ring and then made a wish.

The following day we proceeded to decorate the fairy ring with all the stone animals that I put into the garden each year. The garden is not quite ready yet so she put them all in the fairy ring.

We talked about what fairies like and what they get annoyed at, such as ants, she explained. Then Nightingale (3) came over on Monday and played there too.

It brought me back to raising my own daughter and how much she believed in magical creatures.

And for me? Yes, I believe. You see I have no problem suspending my belief of what’s real when I watch a movie and engross myself in all the characters and drama. They make me laugh and cry. I allow myself to get caught up in it. Even though I know it’s not “real.”

It makes life so very interesting and fun if you believe in magic or miracles like I do. Especially if you can “know” that it’s all just a game or an illusion, this life. It’s temporary and I believe it’s supposed to be fun!

My definition for miracles has grown because I’ve just seen so many in my life and others who are in recovery.  And you have too, you just might not call them miracles. A miracle is a healing of sorts.

Have you ever looked for “signs” that you are on the right track with something? We say a short prayer like: “please give me a sign so I’ll know what to do.” Then I see signs everywhere!

But we need to acknowledge them and see them in order to “get the message.” Do you remember to even look? Sometimes I forget.

I think that life is magical because I believe it is. Because I’ve seen many signs that it is. Because I feel the magic in my body and my psyche. And I like to think this way. The only thing I really have any power over is the way I think.

Therefore, I look for the good and I see it all around me. What you see is a manifestation of how and what you think about. Your life gets better when your thinking gets better.

And when I am stuck in the darkness (it happens) and I’m going through a tough time, I remind myself that this too shall pass. It will get better. Then it does. Get better.

In fact, I named my Guardian Angel, Hope, because I always have hope that things will get better. And then they do. And when I’m in doubt, I ask for help.

My guest on the podcast today is Suzanne Logan from British Columbia. She had a profound spiritual awakening at 11 years of sobriety by experiencing a direct visitation of her Higher Power which she explains in her story. Suzanne has since created an amazing life and has helped many people along the way with her own podcast “Seek Purpose Now.” You don’t want to miss this episode!

One day we could be trudging the road of happy destiny and the next thing we know, everything has changed just because of a small shift in how you think.

And the magic is that YOU are the change agent.

YOU are the magician. You are a miracle and there are signs all around you confirming this if you are open to seeing them.

Looking for a change? Then make one. It’s all up to you.

Sometimes though, you need a little help to see. This is where coaching comes in. Want a road map from where you are now, to where you want to be? Let’s talk. I have 2 open seats in my VIP coaching program.

In the meantime, check out Suzanne’s story on Emerge. Evolve. Lead. Podcast today while you are out enjoying the springtime and looking for fairies.

All my best,
Maureen
