Take Care of Your Mind, Body and Spirit

Take Care

Take care” was the way I always said goodbye in my younger days. I love this sentiment. Do you? Take care I mean? Of yourself?

By taking care of yourself you have so much more to give to others. It’s simple but not always easy.

In our society many women (and men too), are taught that the kids, and everyone else, should come first. We learn that we shouldn’t be “selfish” and should think of others first. It’s true that we want our children to learn that other people have needs too and the universe does not revolve around them alone. This is important in the family structure and at school too.

Your Needs

But as an adult and a leader, do you think of your own needs? If so, to what extent? Do you take care of yourself first or do you believe that doing so makes you selfish? If so, it’s time to upgrade that belief.

I like how the airlines teach that you should get your own oxygen going before assisting your child. In this analogy if you are not breathing how can you help someone else in an emergency? This is a great metaphor for living life too.

A few weeks back I heard my inner guidance telling me to SLOW DOWN. I did this by first acknowledging that this business is going to be in my life for the long term. This is what I’m good at and it’s definitely what I’ll be doing for the next few years so I don’t need to burn myself out by rushing. I want to provide quality coaching and training to everyone I work with so I can really add deep value to their lives.

I’ve been asking my clients how they take care of themselves. Here is a list of over 20 great ideas. How many of these actions to you take to care for yourself?

There are so many ways to take care of yourself and lots of reasons why you should. When all you do is work and crash, it can be hard to find what you are grateful for and yet, this energy of gratitude is what will make your life really glow.

Self care of your mind, body, emotions and soul is vital if you want to thrive and a great role model for others.

Don’t skimp on this! Take care of yourself in a big way and you will have more love and energy to give others in your life.  Not to mention the fact that the more you enjoy life the easier it is to manifest what you really want.
